My new world.

Thought I would write on this blog as I am trying to avoid going down to the gym and into the cold. A brief summary of the last two weeks...I really am in love with this city and it is crazy how much you learn about yourself - how much you surprise yourself when you are doing it alone. Well that is a bit of an exaggoration, I have a couple of wonderful friends who really have helped me get into it. I have seen so much and been going so fast I don't know where to begin.

My highlights - The Tate Modern, be still my beating heart. The lolly shop at the Greenwich markets and the way the whole place smells like marshmellows. Stepping out into the night and seeing Big Ben for the first time and all the blue fairylights sprinkled through the trees. Hoping on an esculator at Bond St Station and hearing a busker playing The Sound of Music on a sax (heard it on a flute last night too!). Covent Garden at night time, the people, the hussle, the chaos ahhhh.

Then there was the snow, I had a meeting and got off at the wrong station which meant me and my A to Z went for a wander for MILES in the snow. I must of looked like a right nutter..while everyone else is hurrying along (I was trying but so afraid I would slip) I had my tongue out trying to figure out what snow tasted like and was fasinated and found it rather sweet how snowflakes when they're falling, stick to your eyelashes. Bless.

There haven't really been any bummers I am kinda taking it all as it comes. Last night was interesting, I was on the last tube home and it took 2 hours which meant I missed the train to the place I am staying. Brilliant, so it is like 2 in the morning and I was completely lost for what to do, luckily I met a lovely Parisan guy and this Aussie chickie and they put me on a bus and drew me a map...which I still managed to get lost on, so ended up in the middle of the street with no one around a little panicked..(sorry Mum, this is probably freaking you out) got it sorted though hailed a cabbie and made him take me home (even though he had finished his shift). Wicked.

Start work on Monday at OgilvyOne freelancing at first to see if I like it and they like me and we'll go from there. Be nice to get into it and start earning pounds.

The coolest thing is the people you get to catch up with again, old friends, new friends. I went to see a Kiwi band play last night with a friend I haven't seen for years...classic just like at home...familar faces. Random. Then off to meet another mate tonight. People really pick you up and look after you, I do miss my crew there, especially in the mornings and when I call and you are all doing your day to day stuff. It's true Aunty Em, there really is no place like home.

Rosita is coming to stay soon yeeeeeeeeeeeeehahhahahahhahahaahah! We are both as excited as the other I think and I have no doubt that this is gonna be a bit of a weekend occurance (when we have the dosh) Amterdam, Paris, London. Oh gives me butterflies.

Anyway you've probably fallen asleep by now it is just so exciting, I love to be able to tell the people I wuv. Remind me when I start to whine and stuff about this time...my friend said to me last night "remember this, it happens once" and he was so right. I am soaking it up.

Hope you're all well, the sun is shining nicely I hear enjoy it. I am thinking of you all.

Till next time, I love you, like sand loves to stick to sunblock.

Me xxxxoooo
