Hey all,
Hope all is well thought you'd find this amusing...
Here's how my delightful trip to Paris turned into a weekend in Powys Wales.
Oh dear lord! I tell you was suppose to be going to Paris this
weekend...so off I went my suitcase filled with beautiful dresses, to
Waterloo station on Fri night. To find out there had been a fire on
the line and all trains were cancelled. So I rang Rosita who was at
Amsterdam airport and let her know, she couldn't change her flight so
had to go anyway. So there I am poor Rosita stuck in Paris alone, me
stranded at Waterloo with no way out!!! So I started to cry (as you
do) and made my way home. I couldn't get a flight out for less than
300 squids and the next train wasn't till Sunday morning. Obviously I
was gutted! And I feel soooooooooooo bad bout Rosita we spoke loads on
the phone though and she was ok. bout it..not much either of us could
do gutted!! Especially since I had swatted up on speaking French, had
a whole lot of Euros and had been listening to the Amelie soundtrack
all week!!! I felt like a true Londoner when I came home cursing about
the Bloody London transport system. Urhhhhhhhhh anyway... my friends
Mel and Stu were off to Stu's dad's pub in Powys and I desided to jump
in the car and go too. Thank gosh, I think London would of done my
head in knowing I could of been in France!!!!!!
After a whole lot of drinks on Fri night we hoped in the car and
headed outta London on sat morning. After an hour getting out of the
city Mel relised she had left her wallet at home so we had to turn
around and go get it. 6 hours later we arrived in Powys, Wales. It was
just like NZ the country side and so nice to see blue sky after all
this time. The pub was in a village that only had a school and a shop
and was sooooooooo cute!!! Stu's step mum to be, had made us each 5
sausages, massive amounts of mashed Potato, peas and carrots which I
had to eat not to be rude.. when we arrived (yes go the heathrow
injection) I could hardly breathe!!! The coolest thing was we got to
see pub life from a whole other angle. I watched in the kitchen how
they did all the grub and then we went and hung at the cute bar for
the night. ahhhh so relaxing. This morning I went with Stu's dad to
the top of the hill which had 360 views of Wales on one side England
on the other sooooo cool!!! And lots of little lambs and it snowed
too!!!!! Bliss.
Spent the day in Oxford today (Em, you will LOVE IT!) and then 6 hours
later cause there were two accidents we got back to London.
Here I am now, back home full as hell (still) and ready for another
mad mad week.
Crazy crazy times. Hope you are all well and life in NZ is sweet as
ever. I miss you all heaps and love hearing from you when you email
(some of you are better than others!!)
Anyway here's some pics happy days. xxxxoooo
Me :-)
